Description

Wholesale/ Manufacturing Company is looking for a Credit and Collection Manager. This person must be detailed orientated, along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, be an independent thinker with the ability to multi task and must possess strong analytical skills. This individual will interact with vendors, reporting agencies and customers along with the company sales, compliance and customer service teams.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position would include, but will not be limited to:

  • Evaluate and update credit and collection guidelines, policies and procedures along with complying with all regulatory requirements.
  • Notify customers concerning delinquent accounts and determine appropriate action to be taken to recover monies owed.
  • Tracking the progress of collection of monies.
  • Check all credit references, and credit risk management for existing and potential customers
  • Familiar with D&B reports and system, and be able to work with other rating agencies to analyze and verify report characteristics and make determinations on credit worthiness.
  • Responsible for requests to set up extensions’ of credit and ensuring compliance with account terms based overall the information gathered.
  • Will oversee a team of collection specialists by monitoring collection efforts by auditing accounts and reports, and suggesting new approaches for collection delinquent accounts.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of all forms, reports, logs, and records.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft office (excel, word, outlook)
  • 3-5 year collection and credit experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales, R & D and overseas office staff to negotiate prices and purchase products.
  • Work with our overseas office staff to place and follow up on all orders daily.
  • Verify and communicate to sales team any shipping or custom delays.
  • Make sure all samples are made to buyer specs, communicate any corrections needed to appropriate personnel in sales, or design.

Qualifications

Responsible for the research and review of new product categories. Prepares sketch drawings of potential product ideas and concepts. Develops detailed drawings and or models of potential products. Manages product design projects on a daily basis. Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree B.S.I.D or B.A.I.D
  • 4+ years experience in Product Design & Development.
  • Strong creative, artistic, and aesthetic skills and the ability to integrate those with functional utility to product needs.
  • 3 to 5 years Experience with CAD and computer environment. (AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Basic Word Processing software)
  • Understanding of fabrics and the assembly of cut and sew products and manufacturing.
  • Strong thinking and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and take products from initial concept thru production.
  • Ability to work as a Team Member across departments.
